Sports Court Maintenance In The Fall
November 27, 2019
As a homeowner with multiple things to maintain throughout the year on your property, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed with what’s in need of maintenance as time goes on. And as temperatures continue to drop here in CT, it’s even less likely that you’ll have that urge to get out and clean all the time! With regard to sport courts on your home, it’s important that you are at least weary of what needs to get done, and how you can do it. Below are a few maintenance tips that you can take advantage of and fit into the free time you have this weekend.
Sweeping
Yes, sweeping. While it might not seem like a big deal to have leaves and other forms of debris on the court, it’s important because many times, these things can attract bugs, moisture and more that linger on the court as time goes on. This makes it easier for nests to accumulate, standing water and moisture to be prevalent, and so much more. Make sure to sweep this away when you notice it becoming more of an issue than it should be.
Cover It Up!
For many materials and surfaces, your courts shouldn’t be exposed to the elements brought on by colder weather. For this reason, it’s important to cover up the sensitive areas with appropriate protection when needed most. This is mainly due to the need to preserve your court and the things on it for next season!
