Is your outdoor kitchen ready for the cold winter nights to come?
Now is the perfect time to winterize your outdoor kitchen.
Here are a few tips to help get yours started.
Winterizing Tips for Your Outdoor Kitchen:
- Turn Off Your Water – If you have water running to your outdoor sink, be sure that you turn it off before the weather drops below freezing. Plumbing lines that aren’t drained can freeze, expand and crack. Leave drain valves open to keep your plumbing in good shape through the winter months.
- Switch Off The Electric – Unplug any electrically powered appliances that you have outdoors. Alternatively, you can turn off the circuit breaker that controls the unit.
- Wipe Down Your Fridge – Remove any ice from trays and wipe down the interiors of your fridge and freezer to remove any residual moisture.
- Seal Your Counters – If you have a stone countertop, sealing it will help prevent damage to the surface.
